I was born in the Dominican Republic as the second of three children to a doctor and a chemist. As a child and teenager, I gravitated towards communications, marketing and computer sciences. By the age of 17, I was hosting a four-hour live radio show. Soon thereafter, I began my television career, serving as the master of ceremonies for multiple televised national events in the D.R. I also began hosting a daily one-hour headline news show, and was responsible for a majority of the research, coordination and content production on that show. In the meantime, I continued my schooling. In 2010, I earned my Masters degree in Communications.
After several years in the broadcast industry, I was offered the position of managing the professional calendar and all event activities of the international celebrity Julio Iglesias. Over the next few years, I traveled extensively all over the world with Julio and his team. That experience had a big effect on who I am today.
I eventually tired of the travel, however. I returned to the D.R. and created, directed and managed a very successful series of beauty contests entitled “Miss Femme”. I handled more than thirty pageants, managing all aspects of the beauty concept from production to hiring personal.
It was a natural progression from beauty pageants to my next chapter: opening a modeling agency and creating a YouTube channel focused on beauty tips for Latinas. Initially my YouTube channel was a hobby, and I was casually sharing videos once a month or so. At the end of 2013, I moved to the US in search of broader opportunities and over time landed successive positions at growing tech companies. During that employment, I continued to produce occasional videos for my YouTube channel and over time began to realize the potential of my YouTube channel. In 2015, I resigned my position as a creative executive and became a full-time YouTuber. My channel currently focuses on lifestyle, beauty and content that empowers women.
